It was noted that Famous Players Pickering 8, which had been open from March 6, 1998 and operated for 20 years on the east end of the mall, closed earlier in the week.

The previous Famous Players Pickering opened on March 6, 1998, with these films: U.S. Marshals, Krippendorf’s Tribe, Hush, Twilight, The Big Lebowski, Dangerous Beauty, Flubber and L.A. Confedential. (*) denotes digital sound (I’m guessing Dolby Digital).
Famous Players Pickering’s final day was July 2, 2018, and its final films include Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (in 2D and 3D) and Incredibles 2 (in 2D and 3D). At this point, five screens were closed as their projection equipment had already been moved to the new Pickering cinemas.
