The Moonlight Drive-In was badly damaged by a storm in 1955. Its owners Olin Evans & Louis Evans decided to replace it with a new drive-in theatre at a different address. This was the Fairview Drive-In which opened July 27, 1956 with Robert Wagner in “White Feather”. It had a wide-screen capable of playing VistaVision films. It was operated for its initial season, closing in 1956.

Judging by the Evergreen Courant, it only operated for one single season. There were no advertisements after the 1956 season.
A possible address is 10367 US-31, Evergreen, AL.
A 1956 aerial shows what appears to be an incomplete drive-in at the intersection of HWY 31 and Conecuh County 59 about two/three miles west of Evergreen.
The aerial shows a screen and what may be a small projection booth. It’s possible that this photo was taken before the drive-in was completed. It’s about the right size.
Today, it is the home of an American Legion Post with no trace of the drive-in remaining.
So I’ll say that the aerial might be taken a month or two before opening.
