The 1913 Sanborn shows a theatre operating in a one-story brick commercial block. The 1914-1915 edition of American Motion Picture Directory lists a Lyric Theatre in Liberty, but no address is given. The building had a long frontage at 113-117 S. Main Street, but was not very deep. The theatre occupied the southern 2/3 of the building. Given the ‘rowhouse’ style of construction, the screen may have been at the north or south wall. The building was constructed between 1883 and 1889. On the 1906 map, the theatre space is three small storefronts. The building was long ago demolished, and the site is a parking lot. The modern street number would likely have been 13-17.
