Star-Lite Drive-In

Claud Hendrix and Phelon Howell launched the Star-Lite Drive-In four miles north from Geneva on Enterprise Road. The 8-acre drive-in accommodated 328 cars. The theatre launched April 3, 1952 with Tony Martin and Gloria DeHaviland in “Two Tickets to Broadway”.

The Star-Lite Drive-In closed at the end of a ten-year lease with “The Trapp Family” on July 31, 1961. Operator Howell directed patrons to the H&R Drive-In which would honor free passes and were appreciative of their customers in the ten-year operational cycle.

Found It!

The drive-in was located at E Neva Drive in Rd & Enterprise Rd, Geneva, Alabama. Situated on the southeast side of the intersection.

Today, it is private property with no trace of the drive-in remaining.

Its possible that the concession building still exists, there is a building that has remained in the same spot and same size. It can partially be viewed when zoomed in on google street view.
