Teatro Cuauhtemoc

Located in the city centre. The Teatro Cuauhtemoc was opened in 1912. It had a beautiful facade, decorated in a Mexican Hispanic Mayan style. Used for many years as a cinema, its closing date is not known, but by 2002, the building had been gutted, and with the roof and ceiling removed all that remained were the four walls.

It is now used as a car park within the walls, but the once magnificent facade still stands, although in desperate need of repair.
