Located in the city centre, close to the Teatro Alameda (today Cinepolis Alameda). The Teatro Obrero was opened as a live theatre. It was remodeled in a Neo-Colonial/Art Deco style and opened as a cinema named Teatro Juarez on 5th July 1941 with Robert Young in “Espiritu de Conquista” (Western Union). Located on the corner of two major streets, the corner entrance had an attractive cupola at its apex.
By 2002 it had closed and was converted into a shopping centre named El Parian, which has since been demolished.
