Located in Macroom, County Cork. The Castle Cinema first appears in the press in 1935 and was run by John O’Sullivan. It had 350 seats, was equipped with a Philips sound system, and is last listed in the Kine Year Book of 1961. It was situated behind the castle gates in the Castle Ballroom, which was also used for dancing and stage productions especially when films came to an end.
