This building was formerly a single screen theater in the small village of Virginiatown in northern Ontario. It was opened as the Strand Theatre in the mid-1930’s. It had closed by 1941. By 1943 it was operating as a movie theatre named the Community Hall. It closed in 1970. Very little is known about it at the current time, save for the fact that it has been closed for over 25 years.

Further investigation reveals this to be the Strand Theater. It was built in the mid-late 1930s and was closed in 1970. Currently no known photos exist of the original theater and the interior’s condition is unknown.
