Located on the famous La Rambla in the city centre. The Cine Mar was opened on 18th April 1936. It was closed on 1st February 1970.
It was re-opened as the Cine Astor (it was located next to the Apolo Hotel, later Astor Hotel-today the Hotel Rambla). The Cine Astor was closed in 1993. By 2018 it was operating as the luxurious Gran Cafe Ramblas.
