Located in Newmarket, County Cork. The Casino Cinema was one of a number of cinemas with that name run by Thomas Cooper, who was also a councillor, tour operator and film director. It is first listed in the 1949 edition of the Kine Year Book and had 500 seats and a Simplex, later Western Electric(WE) sound system fitted. It was sold off in 1974 and was operating as O’Connor’s supermarket in 1977 but is now a tile shop. One source states it was known locally as “Dennis Mick’s Flicks”.
