Located in Lifford, County Donegal in the Three Rivers Centre. The Eclipse Cinemas is seven-screen multiplex with state-of-the-art projection and sound. It opened as the Lifford/Strabane Cineplex on 26th July 1996 with “Twister”, “Mission Impossible”, “The Hunchback of Notre Dame”, “Up Close and Personal” and “Cable Guy” and had four screens to begin with totalling 760 seats.
A further three screens were added by 2008 following extension of the building, which included a larger foyer, and in 2016 the original four screens were given a refurbishment. It is branded to attract clientele from the larger Strabane area over the river/border in Northern Ireland. The cinema is a family-run business owned by the Barretts.
