The theater features 14 digital screens, some are 3D capable screens, and one is a single “Premium Large Format” screen (branded as both GPX and RPX) which is equipped with Dolby Atmos surround sound and does both 2D and 3D PLF showings.
The concessions stand only does basic food (candy, popcorn, pretzels, hotdogs, nachos, monster energy drinks, bottles of water, icees, and coca-cola sodas).
While not connected directly to the Esplanade Mall, it is located on the premises of the Esplanade, and shares a parking lot with the mall.
As of this writing, the theater is not fully owned by Regal Entertainment Group, but instead is only managed, while still owned by Southern Theaters Chairman George Solomon. The two parties have been working out a deal for Regal to purchase the building since September 2017. Prior to September 2017, the theater was operated entirely by Southern Theaters.
I wasn’t sure the date opened when I did the submission, but from some research it appears it opened Friday, December 13, 2013.
