Designed by Mel C. Glatz & Associates and leased by Highland Theaters of Cheyenne, WY., the Cinema 3 was built out of an old Woolworth’s dime-store building in a shopping center parking lot at a total cost of $265,000. It had a total of 705 seats (235 in each screen), played sub-run movies, and opened November 15, 1972. Two auditoriums were created in the rear of the building and a third auditorium was built at the side. Color schemes in the three auditoriums were red, gold and blue. There was a marquee on the building and also a street sign. Over the years it was later operated by Commonwealth Theaters, followed by Cinemark from September 6, 1985 until it closed on January 31, 1991.
It operates as a church.
