Located in Longford, County Longford. Stafford’s Cinema was known after its proprietor Joe Stafford and was opened in 1913. The building was formerly a meeting house for the Plymouth Brethren. Stafford was one of two early pioneers in the town along with John Dann who ran the Picture Palace in Market Square. In 1936 it is listed as having 325 seats with an RCA sound system installed. It was later run by Frank Farrell and was closed on 21st January 1948 with Bette Davis in “The Letter”. Two days later Farrell opened the Adelphi Cinema.
