Yes regal took this theater off their list of theaters they wanted to close. So it looks like it will stay open. Just like most theaters attendance is very low Monday through Thursday. I was there on a Monday night and Tuesday night. It was like a ghost town. Only a few people in each of the theaters. Some theaters are completely empty. People really only go to the movies on Friday Saturday and Sundays now with the main bulk of people going Friday night and Saturday night
This theater already made their new lease agreement with the company and landlord so it won’t close permanently in January at all.
According to the Rockland County business journal. This Theatre very well may be closing at the beginning of 2023. This would leave only one Multiplex in Rockland County AMC in the Palisades Center. Along with a real movie palace 98 years old Lafayette Theatre single screen with 1000 seats.
The curtain is about to drop, permanently. Regal Cinema at the Shops at Nanuet will close its doors early next year.
