The Cozy Theatre opened in the Dicy Bowers Building on Main Street which had held a grocery store previously. The theatre launched February 11, 1938 with “Two Gun Law”. It was likely operating on a 20-year lease. In the TV age, the theatre stumbled closing in 1953 and reopening in the Fall of 1954 for one final run. At the end of its lease in 1958, the theatre was sold and converted to a feed store and a shoe store.
