Shortly after Ralph I. Magee and George L. Ickes began renting the former Photoplay Theatre, the former Photoplay Theatre relaunched as the Fox Theatre on August 23, 1935, relaunching with Shirley Temple in “Our Little Girl” along with the Mickey Mouse cartoon “Shanghaied”, the Danny Kaye short “Moon Over Manhattan”, and a Fox Movietone Newsreel. The sound installations were from RCA Photophone.
Also it’s strange to see “Shanghaied” being listed as “Peg Leg Pete The Pirate” in the advertisement, as he was the villain in the Disney cartoon itself.
