The Jet Cinema was opened in 1973 by Lefty Cheramie and Richard “Dick” Guidry as a single screen. In 1982 the theatre was split into a twin.
In 1979 Dick Guidry bought out Mr. Cheramie. Then in 1984 Dennis Guidry took the theater over until its closing in Oct. 1995.
Today the theatre is now an office building.
