The Midland Theatre was opened in 1936 with 230 seats. It was renamed Belle Theatre in 1940 and had 235 seats. By 1950 the seating capacity had been increased to 475. It was closed in 1955.

A building with a 1930s streamline modern tile front, at 198 E. Dupont Avenue, now home of Pentacostals of Belle Church, was probably a movie theater. Here is a Google street view.
