Playhouse

Located in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk. The Playhouse was opened on 25th May 1925. It had a 28ft deep stage and seven dressing rooms. By 1934 it was operating as a cinema, and by 1944 it was operated by the Bostock Cinema Circuit. The Playhouse was closed on 1st January 1960 when it was sold to the Co-Operative Society to be converted into a shop.
