Main West Cinemas opened on September 11, 1981 as part of the Main West Plaza (now known as the Main West Mall).
It housed two auditoriums - Theatre 1 with 204 seats, and Theatre 2 with 252 seats. Most showings were double features of movies in second run.
It closed on January 6, 1988 with the double-bills “Suspect” and “Someone to Watch Over Me” in Theatre 1, and “Beverly Hills Cop II” and “Teen Wolf Too” in Theatre 2.
