Opened in 2015 as part of the redevelopment of an old tram depot that had been used for other purposes by the local council for many years. The Cinema at Tramshed has 46 vintage seats from the first class cabin of an aircraft and a screen 5.16metres by 2.5 metres.

The cinema is part of Tramshed, an entertainment venue that opened in 2015. The Stranglers and Buzzcocks are due to play in 2018.
