The Valley Twin was opened with 2-screens on April 2, 1982 with Katherine Hepburn in “On Golden Pond” & Dan Monahan in “Porky’s”. This theatre now has four screens despite its name. It has two larger screens and two smaller ones. All theaters can show Real-D 3D. Theaters 5 & 6 were never added.
The Cinema 6 Theatre closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It has not reopened and the building was listed for sale for $2,360,000 as of July 2021 and is available ‘For Rent’ in August 2023. It reopened in late-August, 2024 as the Paradigm Cinemas - Yucca Valley.

I’ve only seen two movies here, both negatively reviewed family-friendly films: “Cats and Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore” (2010) and “Planes” (2013). After that last one, I officially made it my vow not to go to the movies to see any movies with ratings below 51% on Rotten Tomatoes.
