Narrabeen Cinema Odeon  ROXY Cinema Narrabeen 1950's NBC

Located in the north coastal Sydney district of Narabeen. The Roxy Kinema Theatre was opened 6th July 1928. It was designed by Cremorne based architect Adrian A.L. Jones. In December 1934 it was remodeled to the plans of architect Charles Bohringer. Seating was provided in stalls and circle levels.

In 1944 it was taken over by Acme Theatres Propert Ltd, a subsidiary of Greater Union who re-named it Odeon in July 1952. The Odeon was closed on 8th August 1959 with “Houseboat” and “Westbound”.

It was converted into a furniture store in 1960, later becoming a sports store, then a video store. It was demolished in the early-2000’s.

The site is now apartments, a barber shop and a physiotherapist.
