The Biggers Twin Acres Drive-In was opened on October 17 1948 with Danny Kaye in “The Kid from Brooklyn”. It was operated by Floyd Biggers. The screen blew down in 1961 forcing it to close. It was taken over by Commonwealth Theatres in 1962 but never reopened. Now Reganis Auto Center.

Same place? Size is about right. Motion Picture Herald, Aug. 21, 1948: “C. E. Johnson is opening a 600-car drive-in theatre at Scottsbluff, Neb.”
Boxoffice, Dec. 5, 1960: “The Biggers Drive-In, Scottsbluff, Neb., had a fire in the concession stand with damages estimated at $4,000.”
Boxoffice, March 6, 1961: “When it rains, it pours for Floyd Bigger, Bigger Drive-In, Scottsbluff, Neb. Last fall, after their seasonal closing, the concession stand was completely gutted by fire and is now being completely rebuilt. More recently a 75-mile-an-hour wind blew over and destroyed a major portion of the screen tower”

Bigger’s Twin Acres Drive-In Theatre launched October 17, 1948 with Danny Kaye in “The Kid From Brooklyn” (ad in photos). “Twin Acres” was dropped after the first season.
Closed in 1961 after its screen blew down and never reopen.
