The closure of “L'Idéal Cinéma” in 1977 is final and it will be demolished 13 years later in 1993. The “Centre Culturel Claude Berri” integrating a new movie theater named “Ideal Cinéma Jacques tati” is built, inaugurated in June 1995. The oldest cinema still in operation is the “Eden Théâtre” in La Ciotat, classified as a historic monument. After a meticulous rehabilitation it was reopened on October 13, 2013.
