Croydon Council Hall opened in(1892 or 1893?). Opening date of movie screenings unknown? Unknown if movies are still screened there? Renamed Croydon Shire Hall in the 1960’s. Renamed Croydon Town Hall in 1991. Heritage listed by the Queensland Government on 11th June 1996. Croydon Town Hall is now used for community events. It is planned in the long term to turn the building into a museum for mining and community history.
