The Claude Drive-In opened on December 25, 1952 with Joseph Cotton in “The Steel Trap”. In 1955 it was operated by J.C. Keller & Theatre Service Co. Destroyed by Hurricane Audrey on June 27, 1957.

Now LTS tire service next to Wal-Mart.

Was it named after someone called Claude?

It was named posthumously for the head of the Liberty Theatre chain, J. Claude Keller. The theatre was destroyed June 27, 1957 in the devastating Hurricane Audrey that claimed 500 lives.
