The Dixie Drive-In was located in the Shivley neighborhood of Louisville. It was opened on October 10, 1947 with Jon Hall in “Vigilantes Return”. By 1955 it was operated by J. Shinbach. It was closed on July 4, 1966 with Debbie Reynods in “The Singing Nun” & Elvis Presley in “Kissin' Cousins”. Since demolished there is now Kroger and Jefferson County Clerk’s Office on the site.
