The Cottonwood III Cinemas opened on January 12, 1982 at the Cottonwood Plaza shopping center for BAC Theatres. Kerasotes Theatres took over the theatre in 2000 and operated it until its closing in 2008. The theatre was demolished to make way for the neighboring Walmart’s remodeling into a Walmart Supercenter in 2012.
