Burleigh Drive-In

The Burleigh Drive-In( also called Burleigh Heads Drive-In) opened on 12th December 1957 with Gregory Peck in “The Million Pound Note”. It was closed in 1980 and has been demolished. The Stockland Burleigh Heads Shopping Centre now stands on the site.

Opened on 12/12/1957 in Burleigh West, and closed in 1980. Drive-in called Burleigh Drive-in or Burleigh Heads Drive-in.

First drive-in on the Gold Coast. Entrance was on the west side of West Burleigh Road, between tabilban Street and Bunyip Street. Site is now (Stocklands) Burleigh Heads Shopping Centre.
