Located on the west side of Owen Road to the north of the corner with Pine Terrace. Movies were first screened in the Darlington Community Hall in 1947 and 1948. Movie screenings started again in 1956, and an open-air(Gardens) between the hall and Beenong Road, sometime in the mid to late-1950’s(?). Screenings ceased in 1960. Correction – western side of Owen Road, just north of the coener of Pine Terrace. No longer a Montessori School(the school moved), it is now used as a community hall and local (non-movie) theatre.
