Hoyts Shore Williamstown

Located in the historic southwest Melbourne district of Williamstown, close to Port Phillip Bay. The Hoyts Regent Williamstown was opened in 1920. The auditorium decorations consisted of plaster relief panels depicting scenes of the sea, sailing ships, steamers, a lighthouse and seagulls in flight. By 1946 it was re-named Hoyts Shore Williamstown. It was closed in 1963.

Since demolished, a library now stands on the site.

Opened as Municipal Picture Theatre on 8th February 1912. Renamed Williamstown Picture Theatre in 1913. Renamed Regent in 1920. Renamed Hoyts Shore in Williamstown in 1940. Closed on 2nd December 1961. Demolished in( circa 1962,).
