75 Air Port Drive-In

Neodesha KS. had two theatres run by Glen Klock: The Klock Theatre downtown which had basically moved from Pittsburg and this drive-in which had opened in 1953. The 75 Air Port Drive-In has been torn down and was an auto salvage lot into the 21st Century.

Klock listed the drive-in in the classifieds in the Jan. 30, 1961 issue of BoxOffice. “For Sale: Neodesha, Kansas drive-in theatre, 375 cars, population 4,000. No reasonable offer refused. Downtown theatre to be dismantled. G. E. Klock.”

I wonder if this news in the April 25, 1960 issue of Boxoffice led to the sale: “One of the casualties of the recent windstorms was the screen tower of Glen Krock’s drive-in at Neodesha, Kas.”
