Sheridan’s Hall was built and opened in about 1910. Sheridan’s Hall was built for Mrs Kathleen Sheridan(Imperial Hotel licensee) by Mr George Green. Sheridan’s Hall also had a skating rink(ice or roller?). The first movies were possibly shown on(18th June 1914(?) - by Tivoli Pictures). The name was changed to Broomehill Town Hall(date unknown?). Movies were shown until about(1950 or 1952?). The Broomehill Town Hall is still there, but no longer screens movies.

There is a park next door to the left of the Broomehill Town Hall between the Broomehill Town Hall and the Imperial Hotel called Sheridan’s Memorial Garden(named after Mrs Kathleen Sheridan).
