Brookton District Memorial Hall

The first Brookton Hall opened in Whittington Street just east of the White Street Corner (date unknown). Movies were shown there in November 1909. The second Brookton Hall was built west of the first hall parallel to Whittington Street opened(date unknown?). Movies were shown there in 1940.

The Brookton District Memorial Hall was built(date unknown?) on the north east corner of the intersection of White Street, and movies were shown there from the early-1940’s until the late-1960’s. The first hall became a general purpose room. The second hall became known as the Lesser Hall. The three halls are still there.
