This drive in was hard to find. It actually was on highway 27, north of the old highway 30 now highway 37.

The address for this drive in is now 4740 Lima Rd, Fort Wayne, IN 46808. Don Ayres Toyota now sits on the property.

Please update.

The first appearance of the East 30 in the Film Daily Year Book was the 1951 edition, which implies a 1950 opening.

I believe you have this confused with the Lincolndale Drive-In. The east 30 Drive-In was on Highway 30 Lincoln Highway in New Haven Indiana

The address is 7500 IN-930 East, Fort Wayne, IN.

A 1951 aerial shows the drive-in at this address complete with a go-kart track that matches the location seen in the one of the photos.

The drive-in made it to at least 1981, although the go-kart track was virtually gone by that time.

Today, it is the address of New Haven-Adams Twp Parks & Recreation. The only remaining indication of the drive-in is the double entrance/exit roads.

Yes, the line between Fort Wayne and New Haven is right there. It is indeed the location now occupied by the community center. The screen is gone. I attended this Drive-In location many times growing up. The illustrated advertisement however is not for this particular East 30, but for another Drive-In called East 30 possibly in Ohio. The font is one of the ways you can tell the difference between the two East 30 drive-ins.

The photo with the go-kart next to the screen is correct. In addition to the track, there was also a nice little miniature golf business right there.
