Opened in the 1930’s, the Sparks Theatre is listed as seating 300 in the Film Daily Yearbook’s of 1940, 1941 & 1943. It was remodeled and reopened on March 21, 1947 with John Wayne in “Angel and the Badman”. In 1950 it was listed with 773 seats. It was still open in May 1966.

March 21st, 1947 grand opening ad in photo section.
This place is advertised as being open in the 1930s.
Opened with a (unit 1) a Walt Disney cartoon(Rescue dogs), (unit 2) Spring in colour(Snow eagles), (unit 3) Dedication and (unit 4) “Angel and the badman”.
It was still open for this note in the May 30, 1966 issue of BoxOffice: “Lee Tile has resigned as assistant manager of the Sparks Theatre to enter the motorcycle business. His replacement is Philip Brown, whose father owns a local drugstore.”
