John Sands and Bill Goates opened the 400-car Scottic Drive-In on May 14, 1949, with MGM’s 1948 version of “The Three Musketeers" starring Lana Turner. The next September John Blocker purchased the Scottic Drive-In and Falls Drive-In from the founding partners.
By 1952 the Scottic Drive-In was part of the Bullington, Lee & McMahon Theatre Company, which ran the local Grant Drive-In, Twin Falls Drive-In, Twin Sheppard Drive-In and Seymour Road Drive-In. In May of 1964 the Scottic, Grant and Twin Falls Drive-Ins were sold to the Imperial Theatre Company of Dallas.
It was closed on May 31, 1965 with Robert Mitchum in “Rampage”, John Wayne in “Rio Bravo” & Clint Walker in “Yellowstone Kelly”. After June 5, 1965, the Scottic Drive-In was no longer carried on the Daily Times theatre page.

You can still see the ramps, foundation of the concession stand/projection booth & main screen along with other remains of the drive-in.
The Scottic went out on May 31, 1965 with a triple feature the way a good drive-in should with “Rampage,” “Rio Bravo,” and “Yellowstone Kelly” ending after 2a on a Monday/Tuesday.
By 1971, the drive-in had been completely demolished. The property was never developed save for the bar that was built along the entrance & exit roads.
