The Dania Drive-In was opened by Edward McCloskey January 7, 1949 with Glenn Ford in “The Mating of Millie” & Jean Ports in “Two Blonds and a Redhead”. He was still the operator in 1950/51. In 1952 it was operated by Mrs Art Waters. In 1953 it was operated by George Koeliker, George Hertner, Herkel Corp, and Ed Campbell of the Tropicaire Drive-In, Miami. By 1955 it was operated by Ochs Manufacturing Co. On April 10, 1956 the screen was blown down in a storm. The Dania Drive-In was closed in the 1960’s and was demolished in 1969.

Found It! The address is 427 E. Dania Beach Boulevard, Dania, FL. It managed to make it into the 1960s, but was demolished by 1969.
Today, most of the property is now the parking lot for The Casino at Dania Beach. There is no trace of the drive-in remaining. http://tinyurl.com/hqsn9kq

Boxoffice, Aug. 27, 1955: “The Dania Drive-In has been sold by George Hertner of Fort Lauderdale and George Koelliker, Dania, doing business as the Herkel Corp., to the Ochs Management Corp. of Cleveland, Ohio … The chain owns the Auto Park and Fortieth Street drive-ins in Tampa, and the Siesta in St. Petersburg.”
