A Thursday, August 14th, 1952 edition of the Roundup Record-Tribune stated:
‘Friday Night is Opening Night For New Drive-In Theatre
Roundup can now boast of a new drive-in theatre. The “Fortress Drive-In Theatre” located east of town along Highway 6 will hold its first regular showing Friday Night at 8 p.m. Regular showings of full length features and shorts will be held each night at 8 p.m. with the box office open at 7:30 p.m.
Construction of the drive-in was commenced just about a month ago. Operators of the new theatre-Lawrence Sealey, Harry Kowalczyk and Bob Wheeler-have diligently applied themselves since that time to have this new feature for Roundup ready for its first showing as soon as possible.
As far as is known in this office this is the first drive-in theatre for a city of this size in the state of Montana.'
The Fortress Drive-In was still open in 1955.

Okay. Here we go…I uploaded an aerial from 2015 that shows the location of the DI. You can just make the ramps out. Alec Roy Rd and 11th Ave E Roundup, MT 59072 is the correct address and the best one to use with Goggle maps at times. It will put it at the street intersection where the DI was located at.
