In Trencin, a city in western Slovakia, near the Czech border, construction began in 1938 of the Catholic Culture House. It was completed in 1940, and is now Kino Hviezda (“Star”).
The cinema has 400 seats: 280 in the stalls and 120 in the balcony.
There is a good-sized stage, and live entertainment is presented alongside the film shows.
