The Falcon Drive-In opened on August 2, 1969 with John Wayne in “The War Wagon” & George Peppard in “The Carpetbaggers”. It was closed on November 1, 1983 with Chantal CContouri in “The Day After Halloween”. It was demolished in 1985.

I’m wondering if this is also the Vista Vue Drive-In as there is no “Temple Gap Road” in Colorado Springs, but there is a “Templeton Gap Road” which runs right through the location of the Vista Vue.
Was the Falcon renamed or is the location incorrect?
It was located on Austin Bluffs Highway 80901. Opening features were “The War Wagon” and “The Carpetbaggers. It parked 500 cars. It was operated by Westland Theatres and was demolished in 1985. The site is now apartments

The Falcon’s Grand Opening was on Saturday, Aug. 2, 1969, showing “The War Wagon,” “The Carpetbaggers,” and as a “special grand opening bonus hit,” a 12:55 start to “Beyond the Time Barrier.”
The Falcon’s final night was Nov. 1, 1983. The last movie it showed was “The Day After Halloween.”
