Located in the small southern California town of Calipatria. The Poppy Theatre was opened prior to 1926 and had 380 seats. Around 1940 it was renamed Del Mar Theatre and was operated by Silver Crest Theaters chain of Yuma, AZ. The seating capacity was given as 400.
By 1950 it had been renamed Calipatria Theatre. It closed around 1954.
