The Streamline Moderne style Cinema Rivoli opened in 1953. It, and the nearby Hotel Regent were constructed on the site of the 1880’s Petit-Serail, an Ottoman administration building.
The long-closed Cinema Rivoli and nearby buildings, including the Hotel Regent, were demolished in the 1990’s. A car park was constructed on the site of the cinema.
