The Cine Comodoro opened as a Cinerama theatre on 15th August 1959 with “This Is Cinerama”. The three projection booths were located left, centre and right in the balcony. It was still open in August 1966 when it was showing “Battle of the Bulge”, presented in Super Cinerama. It became a 70mm cinema and continued to operate until at least 1993.
