Perth Town Hall

Located on the southeast corner of Hay Street and Barrack Street. Perth Town Hall opened on 1st June 1870. The first film screenings were on 29th September 1900. The last film screenings were in the winter of 1916. Perth Town Hall is still there, but now longer screens films. Perth Town Hall was heritage listed as a State Registered Place on 23rd May 1995. It is the only convict-built town hall in Australia. Perth Town Hall was restored in the late-1990’s.

Correction - located at the southeast corner or Hay Street and Barrack Street. Used in 2024 for the Perth Fringe Festival.
