Scala Kino

In the Mitte district of Berlin, the 246-seat Uberbtettel was opened in 1909. It was later renamed Passage Kino. In 1932 it was renamed Aladin-Lichtspiele and from 1957 to 1961 it operated as the Camera. The Scala Kino operated from 1961 until it was closed in 2000. By August 2015 it was a nightclub called, appropriately enough, the Scala. This had closed by early 2024 and the building was awaiting demolition.

The whole building is shuttered and ready for the developers, just the sign over the door remains
