@ChaseTheatres You may be thinking of the ‘Mall Cinema’ that was about a mile down the road. The Mall Cinema was taken over by GTC and later closed in favor of this location.
The description should be updated. Carrollton Cinema was opened as a 10-screen in 2005 under Georgia Theatre Company.

Georgia Theatre may have taken over the theatre, but it opened as a Cobb Theatre back in the 1980s. I remember driving Bobby Cobb back to Birmingham from an inspection tour of the unfinished site. Rod Curlett was in charge of design and construction.
Regal Entertainment Group acquired this theatre from Georgia Theatre Company on 9/4/2015.
