The Halsted Theater was located in the corner of Central Avenue and Halsted Street by 1911. It was operated by the East Orange Amusement Co. entity presided by T. J. Hick. It screened movies, and present on its stage live performances of minstrels and vaudeville. No mention of this theater after 1925, probably closing after the opening of the much larger Hollywood Theater on Central Avenue several blocks away.
